Xanthelasma

Whitish-yellowish, adipose inclusions within the upper and lower eyelids.

This lipoid inclusion can arise at each place of the body, but they are more conspicuous and troublesome at the area of the eyelids. They arise from dysfunctions of the lipid metabolism.

In dependence of bigness, localisation and depth-expansion different therapeutic approaches are possible.

In addition to a clarification of systemic causes and regulation of metabolism, one can apply to laser and/or resection.
