This web-portal was founded in 2006 as a
project of ophthalmologists of the internationally
renowned hospital for oculoplastic surgery located at Brüderkrankenhaus Trier, Germany.
The name
of this web-portal was developed according to the
general idea
of its
purpose and the medical terminology;
Palpebra = Eyelid
Targets
of
our portal
are:

To inform patients with eyelid problems as well as
their relatives and other interested people in a
short, demonstrative and comprehensible way about
common and special eyelid diseases.

To support eyelid
patients in finding ophthalmologists
in their home country or region which are specialized
in oculoplastic surgery.

To support eye prosthesis patients in
finding ocularists in their home country or region.
Within this portal we do only present
ophthalmologists who are known as very experienced
experts for eyelid diseases and oculoplastic surgery and
who are recommended by two other colleagues of the
international circle of experts. The
ocularists also are recommended by two colleagues of
their council.
